About 18 months ago we bought some ‘deluxe baking trays’ at a well-known (orange coloured) supermarket. They had been reduced by 50% after Christmas (surely no one buys baking trays for Xmas…?) and seemed reasonable as they were non-stick and had a 10-year guarantee. Sadly 12 months later they were rusty (starts under the rim where you can’t quite dry them) and had that metallic smell- and weren’t quite non-stick and so they were binned. As for the guarantee well perhaps I should’ve kept the receipt…Not wanting to spend as much again 6 months ago we bought some (very clearly) non-deluxe baking trays from another supermarket (the Supermarket where every little helps). These rusted within 6 months and I opened the dishwasher one evening to find a neat pile of all the non-stick coating sitting in one corner of the tray it had formerly coated (a neat trick- it looked like it had shed its skin!).So being really fed-up with useless baking trays we decided to try these Pyrex ones. Now they are quite heavy – not a good buy if you have very weak wrists – and they aren’t non stick (being glass and all) but what they are is excellent.They retain heat and when pre-heated are still warm when you’ve laid out your product and returned it to the oven. And stuff doesn’t seem to stick to them any more than it did to the non-stick ones which is just great.After cooking you can just rinse and then dishwasher them. And of course – no rust!They are a decent sized tray – just right for most things we would cook (6 or 7 chicken breast or leg portions fit on one tray which is plenty for most families I guess)We are very pleased with them. If you’re fed up of rusty baking trays these are worth a try.

This is the second one I have bought.No need for messy foil like on the tin trays.When cleaning by hand the grease just slides right off and there are no stubborn food marks left. It can be difficult to get the edges crystal clear but I feel that the glass trays are much more cleaner and hygienic.Now have a dishwasher and the trays come up crystal clear and I can’t tell the difference between the old and new one. They look as good as they day I bought them.Definately a worth while purchase and these will last for years unlike the metal ones that need replacing often. I am slowly changing all my baking dish/trays to Pyrex.Definately recommended!

I read the reviews before purchasing this oven dish. Unfortunately I believed them. Having had it over a month I can review it from experience.It’s small and heavy.Over the last 24hrs have tried cleaning it in our Bosch dishwasher on hot wash twice.This morning I tried ‘Astonish’ paste cleaner ‘Pink Stuff’ cream cleaner and ‘Cillit-Bang’. The grease is still sticky on the surface.I have also tried vinegar and salt and soaked it over night several times over the last month.Picture speaks for itself.It is definitely not an easy clean product.

After having had enough of food ruined by so called non stick pans only to spend the next 20 mins scrubbing I’d had enough and purchased these. These baking trays are 5 star. Nothing sticks to them and you just bung them in the dishwasher or place them in the sink – no scrubbing required. They come up sparkling. You won’t have to bake with left over bits of last weeks food. I’ve now ditched all my so called “non stick rusty pans” and gone 100% Pyrex. Environmentally friendly too – if they break they can be recycled. Ditch the useless metal pans/trays with flaking non stick coating and rust and buy these instead – they will last longer and won’t end up in landfill after a few months. Just one thing they are quite heavy and thick so if you have weak rists you will need to use two hands and have a clear space to put it on once out of the oven. I’m very happy with mine!

I was fed up of trying and failing to get metal baking trays (whether budget or expensive) clean after use and wasting so much time on them. I was getting through so much foil lining old metal baking trays and looked into alternatives and ended up purchasing two of these Pyrex trays.They are so much better. When I put them in the dishwasher they actually come out clean (95% of the time – if it’s particularly dirty/greasy I might need to give it a quick scrub with a sponge scourer afterwards to remove any stubborn bits but then it’s good as new).I’ve been using these trays for a few weeks now and I really wish I’d bought some sooner.They’re also slightly bigger than the metal trays I had (which have gone for good – I’ll be sticking with Pyrex trays from now on).
